League Two side AFC Wimbledon conjured up a late comeback to shock Championship outfit Coventry City in Round One. The hosts came from behind to knock the Sky Blues out of the competition at the first hurdle.

The Wombles were trailing 1-0 for the most part of the game after Matt Godden gave Coventry the lead from the penalty spot in the first half. With less than five minutes remaining on the watch and Johnnie Jackson’s side on the verge of exiting the Carabao Cup, summer signing Omar Bugiel struck for AFC Wimbledon to equalise late in the day.

And just as it looked as though they would need penalties to separate the two teams, making his professional debut, Ryan McLean popped up with a 92^nd minute winner. His impressive finish secured a 2-1 win for the home team and passage through to Round Two.
