Goalkeeper: Jake Turner (Gillingham) - 9.46 rating

A Harry Ransom own goal saw Gillingham secure all the spoils at Crawley on Saturday, but the Gills had Jake Turner to thank as they came away with a vital three points. Turner made seven saves in total, including a first half penalty stop to deny Dominic Telford from 12 yards. The 24-year-old also made three high ball claims to return a WhoScored.com rating of 9.46.

Centre-back: Ryan Johnson (Wimbledon) - 9.00 rating

Wimbledon dismantled south-west rivals Sutton United at the VBS Community Stadium on Saturday, with centre-back Ryan Johnson the star performer with a WhoScored.com rating of 9.00. Johnson scored the opener midway through the second half, and played his part in alleviating the pressure on the Wimbledon goal, making a whopping 20 clearances, to contribute towards his inclusion.

Centre-back: Liam Lindsay (Preston) - 8.43 rating

Preston battled to a 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, with centre-back Liam Lindsay key for the Lilywhites. Lindsay scored the decisive goal shortly after the restart, netting with his only effort across the 90 minutes. The 27-year-old also stood firm in Preston's pursuit of a clean sheet and all three points as he made seven clearances, two tackles and one interception, and won nine aerial duels, to return a WhoScored.com rating of 8.43.

Centre-back: Eiran Cashin (Derby) - 8.36 rating

Derby secured a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Fleetwood over the weekend, but it wasn't all plain sailing for the Rams. Eiran Cashin was the star performer in the victory with a WhoScored.com rating of 8.36 as he did all he could to ensure the clean sheet and all three points. The 21-year-old made 11 clearances, three tackles and two interceptions, and also won 10 of the 11 aerial duels he contested, to make this XI.

Right midfield: Stephen Humphrys (Wigan) - 8.83 rating

Stephen Humphrys is the first of two Wigan players to make the XI having bagged a brace in their 4-0 win at Bolton. The 25-year-old returned a 100% conversion rate at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, and drove forward in possession well as he completed three dribbles. Humphrys certainly deserves his inclusion with a WhoScored.com rating of 8.83.

Central midfield: Elliot Lee (Wrexham) - 9.15 rating

The game of the weekend came from the SToK Cae Ras as Wrexham and Swindon played out an entertaining 5-5 draw. Elliot Lee was the star performer in the stalemate having scored twice and provided one assist. Lee's brace came from two of six shots, which include a late, late equaliser, and assist from one of three key passes, as the 28-year-old garnered a WhoScored.com rating of 9.15.

Central midfield: Daniel Kemp (Swindon) - 9.11 rating

Remaining at Wrexham's draw with Swindon, and Daniel Kemp, like Lee, also scored twice and provided one assist. The 24-year-old hit the back of the net with two of three shots, while his one assist came from two key passes. After such a superb showing, Kemp deserves his place in the team with a WhoScored.com rating of 9.11.

Left midfield: Callum Hendry (Salford) - 10.0 rating

The EFL player of the week, and deservedly so, Callum Hendry returned a perfect WhoScored.com rating of 10.0 from Salford's entertaining 4-3 win at Tranmere. Hendry bagged a hat-trick at Prenton Park, doing so from five shots in total. The 25-year-old was unfortunate not to register an assist having made three key passes, and worked hard off the ball having made five tackles in a standout display.

Striker: Will Evans (Newport) - 9.23 rating

Will Evans has made a flying start to the season, and scored for the fourth game running as he bagged a brace in Newport's 3-0 win at Forest Green. Evans' two goals came from four shots, while the Welshman won three aerial duels and made two clearances as he excelled out of possession, too. All in all, the Newport striker deserves his spot in the side with a WhoScored.com rating of 9.23.

Striker: Jake Young (Swindon) - 9.02 rating

Back to Wrexham's draw with Swindon, and Jake Young excelled for the Robins in Wales. Indeed, he was directly involved in four of Swindon's five goals, scoring twice from four shots, while his two key passes resulted in assists. The youngster, therefore, is good value for his spot on the frontline with a WhoScored.com rating of 9.02.

Striker: Charlie Wyke (Wigan) - 8.92 rating

Rounding off the XI is Wigan hitman Charlie Wyke. The 30-year-old netted twice in the Latics' resounding 4-0 win at Bolton, hitting the back of the net with two of three shots. Wyke defended well from the front, too, having made two tackles to join Evans and Young on the frontline with a WhoScored.com rating of 8.92.
