5. Jordan James (Birmingham) - 9.08 rating

Birmingham fell to a home 3-2 loss to Leicester on Monday night but even in defeat, Jordan James shone. The midfielder scored both Birmingham goals at St. Andrew's, netting with two of three shots, and completed four dribbles and made three tackles as the Welsh teen returned a WhoScored.com rating of 9.08.

4. Stephy Mavididi (Leicester) - 9.15 rating

The star player from Leicester's win at Birmingham, Stephy Mavididi was on hand to score his sixth and seventh league goals of the season as the Foxes maintained their title push on Monday night. The 25-year-old struck with two of four shots, and defended from the front well as he made six tackles in what proved to be his best rated performance of the season so far.

3. Morgan Whittaker (Plymouth) - 9.21 rating

Plymouth returned to winning ways at Rotherham's expense over the weekend with Morgan Whittaker impressing for the Pilgrims at Home Park. Whittaker was directly involved in two of Plymouth's three goals, following up his second half assist for Finn Azaz with the winning goal deep into second half injury time, those coming from respective returns of four key passes and seven shots.

2. Vakoun Bayo (Watford) - 9.46 rating

Watford tore out-of-sorts Preston to shreds at Deepdale on Saturday afternoon, easing to a 5-1 win with striker Vakoun Bayo the star performer with a WhoScored.com rating of 9.46. Bayo was directly involved in three of the Hornet's five goals, netting either side of half time with two of three shots and providing the assist for Ismael Kone's late goal with one of two key passes.

1. Finn Azaz (Plymouth) - 9.61 rating

The Championship's star performer this week is Plymouth midfielder Finn Azaz, who directly contributed to all three Pilgrims goals against Rotherham. Indeed, the 23-year-old netted with two of eight shots and provided the late assist for Morgan Whittaker's strike with one of four key passes in the eventual 3-2 win.
