Salford City provide a December to remember for Greater Manchester locals

Salford City co-owner Ryan Giggs was among those spreading festive cheer in Greater Manchester earlier this week, as Foundation 92 launched its December to Remember for the local community.

Foundation 92 launched the 2023 holiday campaign - #F92DecemberToRemember - earlier this month, as part of its commitment to support the local community across Greater Manchester this Christmas.

Alongside the football club, Foundation 92 is delivering free to access holiday activities over the festive period, as well as a Christmas present drop with the Class of 92, Salford City players and Foundation 92 partners.

The charity will deliver more than 1,700 Christmas presents during the week leading up to Christmas, supporting those most in need in the community.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton, said: “Following the success of previous December to Remember Christmas campaigns, we are really pleased to be able to support local communities once again. It is fantastic to see so many businesses working together to support local communities in the Greater Manchester area.”

Initially launched in 2018, the December to Remember initiative was introduced to assist individuals and families that are going through a hard time in the run up to Christmas, focusing on supporting people to improve their lives through sport with an emphasis on physical and mental wellbeing.

Foundation 92’s partners on the project include Salford City, 1ST CENTRAL, Hotel Football, University Academy 92, Kuits Solicitors, Transport for Greater Manchester, Kellogg’s Manchester, The Corn Exchange, Roland Dransfield and Sport 92.
