The nominees are:

Callum Robinson – Cardiff City

Despite bowing out of the competition in Round Three, Callum Robinson's equalising strike for Cardiff City against Blackburn Rovers in the 18th minute was an impressive low effort from range. The Bluebirds forward picked up possession outside the box and took aim to make it 1-1 in the first period and get the visitors back in the tie at Ewood Park.

Andrew Moran – Blackburn Rovers

Also shortlisted for Player of the Round after bagging two goals and two assists on the night against Cardiff City, Andrew Moran's second strike to complete his brace for Blackburn Rovers and make it 4-2 to the hosts caught the eye in particular. The Brighton & Hove Albion loanee fired in from 20-yards out to put the game beyond all doubt as Blackburn cruised through to Round Four.

Jack Taylor – Ipswich Town

Similarly, Player of the Round nominee Jack Taylor's match winner against Wolverhampton Wanderers for Ipswich Town has also been recognised in the Goal of the Round shortlist. The midfielder's powerful strike from distance found the top left-hand corner and gave the Tractor Boys the lead for the first time that evening, as Kieran McKenna's side overturned a two-goal deficit against Premier League opposition.

Dominik Szoboszlai – Liverpool

Hungarian international Dominik Szoboszlai notched his first goal in the Carabao Cup for Liverpool in style in their 3-1 win over Leicester City. The Reds' summer signing rippled the net with an effort from outside the area which left Foxes stopper Jakub Stolarczyk with no chance in front of the Kop end at Anfield to put Jurgen Klopp's side ahead after coming from behind.
