Blackburn smashed QPR 4-0 at Loftus Road on Saturday but Rovers shotstopper Leopold Wahlstedt was still on hand to guarantee the three points and a clean sheet in west London. Centre-back: Anthony O'Connor (Harrogate) - 8.36 rating

Harrogate secured a notable 2-1 win at Newport on Saturday, with centre-back Anthony O'Connor an unlikely hero for the away side. O'Connor's goal shortly after the break, his first of the season, proved to be the match winner for Harrogate, while 10 clearances and eight aerial duels won ensured all the spoils for the Sulphurites.

Centre-back: Cheyenne Dunkley (Shrewsbury) - 8.34 rating

Shrewsbury edged out Northampton 1-0 on Saturday and they have centre-back Cheyenne Dunkley to thank for a solid rearguard display. Dunkley earned the player of the match award at Croud Meadow with a WhoScored.com rating of 8.34 having won 11 aerial duels and made 13 clearances and two tackles.

Centre-back: Luke Leahy (Wycombe) - 8.32 rating

Rounding off the defence is Wycombe centre-back Luke Leahy. The Chairboys eased to a 4-1 win at 10-man Fleetwood on Saturday, with Leahy returning a WhoScored.com rating of 8.32 in the process. Leahy scored Wycombe's fourth midway through the second half from his only effort on goal, and was on hand to make five clearances, one tackle and one interception in a fine outing at Highbury.

Right midfield: Isaiah Jones (Middlesbrough) - 8.89 rating

Blackburn weren't the only side to romp to a 4-0 away win in the Championship on Saturday, with Isaiah Jones shining in Middlesbrough's impressive victory at Sunderland. The 24-year-old was directly involved in two of Boro's four goals, following up his assist for Matt Crooks' strike on the hour mark with a goal of his own in the 72nd minute. Central midfield: JJ McKiernan (Morecambe) - 9.42 rating

JJ McKiernan earned his first player of the match award of the season over the weekend as Morecambe eased to a 3-1 win at Colchester. Central midfield: Arnor Sigurdsson (Blackburn) - 8.75 rating

The star performer from Blackburn's 4-0 win at QPR partners McKiernan in the middle of the park. Left midfield: Sam Hart (Sutton) - 8.39 rating

Sutton ended a 10-game winless run in fine fashion at the weekend as they eased to a 4-0 win over Walsall. Sam Hart put in a fine shift at the VBS Community Stadium as he made four clearances in a clean sheet attaining display, including one off the line. The 27-year-old also won six aerial duels and is the first of two Sutton players in the EFL team of the week having returned a WhoScored.com rating of 8.39.

Striker: Harry Smith (Sutton) - 10.0 rating

The second Sutton player in the XI, and first of two to have earned a perfect WhoScored.com 10 rating to make the team of the week, Harry Smith was unplayable as the Us secured a 4-0 win over Walsall. Smith scored two of Sutton's four goals in the victory, that brace coming from six shots in total, and won 10 aerial duels in a commendable showing on the frontline.

Striker: Matt Smith (Salford) - 9.58 rating

Partnering Smith in attack is Salford's own Smith. Matt Smith, like Harry, netted twice at the weekend as Salford secured a 4-2 victory over Crewe. The 34-year-old again maximised his height to win 11 aerial duels on home turf, and made one key pass, to secure a WhoScored.com rating of 9.58.

Striker: Jordan Gibson (Carlisle) - 10.0 rating

Rounding off the XI is the second player to earn a perfect WhoScored.com 10 rating this weekend. Jordan Gibson scored goals two, three and four for the season in Carlisle's 3-1 win at Bolton on Saturday, netting with three of six shots. The 25-year-old worked tirelessly off the ball, too, as he made five tackles and three interceptions in a standout display.
