The August winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month Award are:
Sky Bet Championship
Aaron Ramsey – Leicester City v CARDIFF CITY – 19th August
Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey is the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month winner for August.
Re-joining his boyhood club was a fairytale for Ramsey. He continued it with a mark of quality from his illustrious career - an unstoppable angled 30-yarder of stunning simplicity and power.
Ramsey said: “It’s definitely up there as one of my best goals. I struck it really nicely, and sometimes you know when you hit the ball that it’s got half a chance. I knew straight away, and thankfully it went into the top corner.
“[Joe] Rallsy would say that it was all in the assist that he gave me – he said that it was asking to be hit! I think you’re just trying to make a nice, clean connection with the ball, and if you do that, these balls can move and shift all over the place.
“It was just about concentrating on the strike, and thankfully it was a decent one!”
Ramsey beat off competition from Hull City’s Ozan Tufan, Birmingham City’s Jay Stansfield & Blackburn Rovers’ Ryan Hedges.

Sky Bet League One
Reeco Hackett – Northampton Town v LINCOLN CITY – 15th August
Lincoln City forward Reeco Hackett is the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month winner for August.
Northampton keeper Max Thompson was poised for any shot that Hackett might unleash. Any shot that is, other than an instant fizzing half-volley off the outside of his left foot.
Hackett said: “I’m really happy to have picked up this award and it means a lot the fans have gone out of their way to vote for me to win it.
“I’ve settled into the group really well and August was a really strong month for us. I think we picked up a lot of good points and made some great progress in the Carabao Cup too.
“I was happy to get on the scoresheet as well for Saint Lucia during the international break, and now I’m ready to kick on again for Lincoln.”
Hackett beat off competition from Carlisle United’s Owen Moxon, Wigan Athletic’s Callum McManaman and Oxford United’s Tyler Goodrham.

Sky Bet League Two
Kian Spence – Tranmere Rovers v BARROW – 5th August
Barrow midfielder Kian Spence is the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month winner for August.
Timing a volley at thigh height when the ball is looping towards you is hard enough. Add in the pace at which Spence was running to meet it and his sweet strike becomes a thing of beauty.
Spence said: “It feels great, I feel like I’ve just got over watching it so to relive it again by winning the goal of the month award is great and I’m delighted to win. I can’t remember the last trophy I won, maybe one when I was like eight years old so it’s really nice to have, and it’s also really nice to be acknowledged.
“I feel like it was quite a big day for me anyway so for that to happen just felt like it was my day and it’s one of those days I look back on and am just so grateful it happened really.
“It’s still a bit of a blur to be honest, and with it being my first league game in a while when the ball came off my foot and went into the goal it was just a blur. You can tell by the celebration that I’ve just ran to Rory [Feely] and given him a big hug, it just didn’t feel real, to be honest.”
Spence beat off competition from Doncaster Rover’s Tom Nixon, Grimsby Town’s Abo Eisa & Harrogate Town’s George Thomson.
