Birmingham City's Brandon Khela has won the Goal of the Round award for Round One of the Carabao Cup.

The Blues academy graduate, who joined the Club at the age of eight, opened his account for the West Midlands team in style at The Valley.

On his full debut, the 19-year-old bagged the match winner in a 1-0 win away at Charlton Athletic as Birmingham progressed to Round Two of the competition.

In the first half, the midfielder received the ball outside the box and rippled the net from 25 yards to score the only goal of the game.

He marked his goal by re-creating the England international Jude Bellingham's “iconic” celebration, as Khela described it, with Bellingham having made his debut in the same competition for the Club back in August 2019.
