Solomon Brynn was the star performer despite Leyton Orient's late 2-1 loss at Barnsley. The 23-year-old made nine saves and claimed four high balls in the encounter on his way to a WhoScored.com rating of 8.80.

Right-back: Joel Senior (Morecambe) - 8.04 rating

Joel Senior provided his third assist of the season as Morecambe secured a 1-0 win over Sutton United at the weekend. That came from one of three key passes, while three tackles and three interceptions helped return a WhoScored.com rating of 8.04.

Centre-back: Anthony O'Connor (Harrogate) - 8.18 rating

Harrogate ground out a 1-0 home win over Colchester, with centre-back Anthony O'Connor key. The 31-year-old was proactive in his efforts to protect the Harrogate goal having made 10 clearances and and two interceptions to secure his spot in the XI.

Centre-back: Aden Flint (Mansfield) - 7.99 rating

Partnering O'Connor at the heart of the defence is Mansfield's Aden Flint. Flint won seven aerial duels in a fine 4-0 win at Forest Green, and made five clearances and two interceptions to book his spot in the EFL team of the week with a WhoScored.com rating of 7.99.

Left-back: Marvin Johnson (Sheffield Wednesday) - 8.67 rating

Marvin Johnson was the star player as Sheffield Wednesday ended a three-game winless run to boost their survival chances as they beat Birmingham 2-0 on Friday night. Johnson provided the assist for Ike Ukbo's second goal in Friday's victory, that coming from one of two key passes, while seven tackles and three clearances saw the 33-year-old play his part in a clean-sheet attaining display.

Right midfield: Ike Ugbo (Sheffield Wednesday) - 8.62 rating

Remaining at Hillsbrough, Ike Ugbo was key in the Owls' win over Birmingham. Indeed, the 25-year-old scored both goals in the home victory, netting with two of five shots, while he also won three aerial duels to return a WhoScored.com rating of 8.62.

Central midfield: Ollie Clarke (Mansfield) - 9.41 rating

Ollie Clarke scored his second and third league goals of the season as Mansfield tore Forest Green apart. Clarke netted with two of three shots, and worked hard off the ball having made four tackles and three interceptions, and won seven aerial duels, to secure a WhoScored.com rating of 9.41.

Central midfield: Georginio Rutter (Leeds) - 9.32 rating

Over to Elland Road, Georginio Rutter returned a WhoScored.com rating of 9.32. The Frenchman registered his 10th assist of the season in the win over Rotherham from one of four key passes, while six dribbles and four tackles capped another fine showing from the Leeds star.

Left midfield: Crysencio Summerville (Leeds) - 8.83 rating

As Leeds reinforced their promotion credentials with a 3-0 win over Rotherham over the weekend, Crysencio Summerville netted his 13th and 14th league goals of the season in the victory. The Dutchman struck with two of four shots and was unfortunate not to add an assist having made four key passes in the home triumph.

Striker: Andy Cook (Bradford) - 8.80 rating

Over to the SToK Cae Ras, Andy Cook put in a player of the match display despite his second half penalty miss in Bradford's 1-0 win at Wrexham. Cook make amends in second half injury time as he eventually struck with one of four shots, while the 33-year-old also won eight aerial duels and made three tackles to return a WhoScored.com rating of 8.80.

Striker: Will Swan (Mansfield) - 8.63 rating

Of the six goals Will Swan has directly contributed to in League Two this season, two of those came in Saturday's 4-0 win at Forest Green. Swan followed up his assist for Tom Nichols' 69th-minute strike with a goal of his own nine minutes later. Those came from respective returns of two key passes and four shots in the 23-year-old's best rated performance of the campaign
