Blackpool may have fallen to a 2-0 loss at Cheltenham but it would have been a lot worse for the Tangerines were it not for Daniel Grimshaw's performance between the sticks. Indeed, Grimshaw made six saves, including a second half penalty stop, to return a WhoScored.com rating of 9.42.

Right-back: Harry Clarke (Ipswich) - 8.62 rating

After a brief wobble, Ipswich ended a three-game winless run in fine fashion, smashing Millwall 4-0 at the Den on Wednesday night. Harry Clarke put in a player of the match performance having returned a WhoScored.com rating of 8.62 as he provided his first assist of the season in south London. The young defender also completed three dribbles and made two interceptions to make the cut.

Centre-back: Matthew Platt (Bradford) - 9.06 rating

Bradford defender Matthew Platt netted his second goal of the season in Tuesday’s 4-0 win at home to MK Dons, while he also won three aerial duels, made three tackles and a whopping 12 clearances - the most he has managed in a league match this season. The 26-year-old’s efforts earn him a WhoScored.com rating of 9.06, his best rated display of the campaign so far.

Centre-back: Mickey Demetriou (Crewe) - 8.64 rating

Partnering Platt at the heart of the defence is Crewe's Mickey Demetriou, who earned a WhoScored.com rating of 8.64. Crewe claimed a huge 3-1 win at Stockport on Tuesday night with Demetriou directly involved in two of three goals, scoring one and assisting another. Eight clearances and three aerial duels won marked his best rated display of the season.

Left-back: James Justin (Leicester) - 8.15 rating

Rounding off the defence is Leicester star James Justin. The 25-year-old was solid in the Foxes' home win over Sheffield Wednesday as he made six tackles, three intercepions and two clearances. Justin got forward well, too, completing two dribbles and creating one goalscoring chance to feature.

Central midfield: Hiram Boateng (Mansfield) - 10.0 rating

With a perfect 10.0 WhoScored.com rating, Mansfield Town midfielder Hiram Boateng is the League Two Player of the Week. On just his second league start of the season, Boateng netted a hat-trick, as the Stags put Harrogate to the sword. The 28-year-old also made three interceptions and completed three dribbles and three accurate long balls, in a fine all-round performance.

Central midfield: Elliott Bonds (Cheltenham) - 9.09 rating

Cheltenham’s Elliot Bonds makes the EFL team of the week with a rating of 9.09 for his efforts in the 2-0 victory over Blackpool on Tuesday night. The 23-year-old midfielder scored his first goal of the season when he opened the scoring just after the half hour mark before doubling his tally in the 85th minute. The Robins man won three aerial duels, completed two tackles and two dribbles in an all-round performance.

Central midfield: Davis Keillor-Dunn (Mansfield) - 9.25 rating

The second of three Mansfield representatives, Davis Keillor-Dunn was directly involved in two goals in their resounding 9-2 win over Harrogate. The 26-year-old struck with one of four shots and provided one assist from five key passes. With two dribbles and one tackle to his name, Keillor-Dunn returned a WhoScored.com rating of 9.25.

Right midfield: Jodi Jones (Notts County) - 9.41

Notts County star Jodi Jones continued his impressive form this season when he laid on the assists for two of his side’s three goals in the win at Newport on Tuesday night. Those would mark Jones’ 19th and 20th assists in League Two this season, remarkably, no other player has registered more than nine. As well as his efforts in front of goal, Jones also provided four key passes and completed five dribbles, to return a WhoScored.com rating of 9.41.

Striker: Lucas Akins (Mansfield) - 9.60 rating

Lucas Akins netted a brace in the thrashing of Harrogate - his first league goals since before Christmas. Akins got the hosts up and running after 13 minutes, when he converted from the penalty spot, while he would go on to add his second 45 minutes later, to make the scoreline 7-2. Akins found the net with two of his five attempts on goal and also made a key pass and completed three successful dribbles, to land a WhoScored.com rating of 9.60.

Left midfield: Crysencio Summerville (Leeds) - 9.39 rating

Back to Swansea now, Crysencio Summerville claimed his 12th player of the match award of the season in Leeds' midweek 4-0 win. The Dutchman fired his side ahead early on at the Swansea.com Stadium, netting with one of two shots, and provided the assist for Wilfried Gnonto's second half strike with one of five key passes. Two dribbles and one tackle saw Summerville land a WhoScored.com rating of 9.39.
