Goalkeeper: Arthur Okonkwo (Wrexham) - 6.97 rating

As Wrexham secured their spot in League One next season, Arthur Okonkwo shone between the sticks for the Welsh side. The 22-year-old ranked ninth for saves (106) and boasted the second best save success rate (76.4%) in the division. 14 clean sheets ranked third and saw Okonkwo return a WhoScored.com rating of 6.97.

Centre-back: Mickey Demetriou (Crewe) - 7.32 rating

Experienced centre-back Mickey Demetriou makes the cut in defence having earned a WhoScored.com rating of 7.32. The 34-year-old was directly involved in 14 goals, scoring eight, which is a fine faul for a defender. Demetriou was also proactive in his approach to defending the Crewe goal having made the second most clearances (267) in the division.

Centre-back: Brad Hills (Accrington) - 7.23 rating

Accrington's Brad Hills joins Demetriou at the back in this XI with the 20-year-old ranking fifth for clearances (231) in League Two. Hills also made the second most interceptions (74) with his reading of the game belying his tender years.

Centre-back: Fraser Horsfall (Stockport) - 7.19 rating

Rounding off the defence is title winner Fraser Horsfall, who returned a WhoScored.com rating of 7.19. The Stockport star made the sixth most clearances (225) and won more aerial duels (307) than any othe defender to feature.

Right midfield: George Thomson (Harrogate) - 7.16 rating

Harrogate may have finished in mid-table but George Thomson impressed for the Yorkshire side once more as he garnered a WhoScored.com rating of 7.16. Thomson finished the season with 16 goals and eight assists, while 14 big chances created was the seventh most in the division.

Central midfield: Davis Keillor-Dunn (Mansfield) - 7.44 rating

Mansfield's hero in their return to League One, Davis Keillor-Dunn was the second best rated player in League Two this season as he earned a WhoScored.com rating of 7.44. The 26-year-old was one of only four players to reach double figures for both goals (22) and assists (10), the former the fourth most in the division, and the latter coming from 103 key passes (103), that more than any other player.

Central midfield: Elliot Lee (Wrexham) - 7.27 rating

The second Wrexham player in the side partners Keillor-Dunn in the middle of the park. Elliot Lee was instrumental for Wrexham as they earned back-to-back promotion as he netted 16 times and provided six assists. In addition, Lee won possession in the midfield third158 times, that the sixth most in the 2023/24 League Two campaign.

Left midfield: Jodi Jones (Notts County) - 7.17 rating

Notts County assist machine Jodi Jones makes the best XI having ended the season with a WhoScored.com rating of 7.17. Jones registered a whopping 24 assists this season and created more clear-cut goalscoring opportunities (33) to cap a sensational season.

Striker: Matt Smith (Salford) - 7.75 rating

The WhoScored.com League Two Player of the Season, Matt Smith ended the campaign with a rating of 7.75. The Salford star maximised his stature to win more aerial duels (588) than any other player, all the while netting 24 times. Smith also won more player of the match awards (16) in what was a fine 2023/24.

Striker: Harry Smith (Sutton) - 7.39 rating

Harry Smith tried his best to keep Sutton in League Two but it wasn't enough as the Amber and Chocolates' relegation was confirmed on the final day of the season. Smith won the second most aerial duels (413) in the division and struck 11 times to join namesake Matt on the frontline.

Striker: Andy Cook (Bradford) - 7.38 rating

A key player in Bradford's ultimately unsuccessful playoff push, Andy Cook netted 17 times for the Bantams this season and won the third most aerial duels (331) in League Two. Cook also registered eight assists to join the Smiths on the frontline with a WhoScored.com rating of 7.38.
