Cast your vote for April's Goal of the Month

The April nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month Award are:

Ryan Longman – MILLWALL v Leicester City – 9th April

If The Den was already jumping when Longman helped to win the ball back in his own half, he sent it into full-on hysteria with his dynamic run and perfectly placed curler into the top corner.

Josh Windass – Blackburn Rovers v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY – 21st April

Sizing up the situation in an instant, there was an effortless, almost laconic, grace about the manner in which Windass opened up his body to caress his flighted shot under the crossbar.

Emmanuel Latte Lath – MIDDLESBROUGH v Leeds United – 22nd April

Latte Lath’s back header was all about spatial awareness, vision and timing to judge the flight of the ball and the location of Leeds keeper Illan Meslier while twisting his body into position.

Omari Hutchinson – Hull City v IPSWICH TOWN – 27th April

Hutchinson’s speed of thought was matched by his fleetness of foot as he jinked inside, took one touch to give himself space and sent a curling left-footer spinning into the far top corner.

The April nominations for the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month Award are:

Aaron Collins – BOLTON WANDERERS v Reading – 1st April

What a goal with which to start your hat-trick. Collins collected a pass, pirouetted to bring the ball onto his right foot and arrowed an unstoppable rising strike into the top corner of the net.

Ethan Galbraith – LEYTON ORIENT v Peterborough United – 1st April

Galbraith judged his run into the Peterborough area to perfection, anticipating the flight of Jayden Sweeney’s cross and catching it on the volley with impeccable timing on his instep.

Billy Bodin – OXFORD UNITED v Peterborough United – 13th April

As he chased onto a quickly taken free-kick, Bodin quickly assessed the situation, cleverly cutting back across two defenders before clipping a smart reverse lob back into the far corner.

Phoenix Patterson – FLEETWOOD TOWN v Burton Albion – 27th April

Patterson could not have placed his free-kick any better, using the element of surprise to whip it at pace with an extraordinary mix of loop and spin under the junction of crossbar and post.

The April nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month Award are:

Jodi Jones – NOTTS COUNTY v Harrogate Town – 6th April

League Two’s leading assist-maker took the direct route to goal on this occasion, and from inside his own half, slaloming past two defenders before hammering home a searing low shot.

George Thomson – HARROGATE TOWN v Grimsby Town – 9th April

Just to be clear, Thomson is right-footed, yet here he was daring to unleash a shot from fully 25 yards with his left, catching it with impeccable timing and watching it fly into the top corner.

Stephen McLaughlin – MANSFIELD TOWN v Gillingham – 20th April

As the ball was played to him, McLaughlin sized up his options and decided the best course of action was to drive the ball so powerfully, it was still rising as it struck the back of the net.

Ryan Watson – SALFORD CITY v Harrogate Town – 27th April

Hitch-kick volleys require coordination and extraordinary timing. What made Watson’s even more special was the height at which he caught the ball as it dropped in an arc towards him.
