Leeds United's preparations for their upcoming match against Bristol City have been dealt a significant blow with the absence of two key players. Largie Ramazani (F) is sidelined with an ankle injury, casting doubt over his availability. The 23-year-old attacker has been a crucial part of Leeds' impressive offensive output this season, contributing to four of their 19 goals. Additionally, Junior Firpo (D) will also miss the match due to a one-game suspension, triggered by his fifth yellow card of the season. The versatile full-back has been a defensive stalwart and attacking threat, averaging an impressive 6.9 Fantasy points per game, with four goal contributions so far. Daniel Farke now faces the challenge of reshaping his team to account for these absences and maintain Leeds' strong form.
Carl Piergianni (D) of Stevenage picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign against Cambridge United (H), and is now suspended for the Boro’s first match of their double gameweek against Rotherham United (A). The club captain has been brilliant this season, scoring 81 Fantasy EFL points so far. He’s helped Alex Revell’s side to seven clean sheets (+35) in 12 appearances, and has made an eye-catching 76 clearances (+25) for his side. There is hope that the number five will return for Stevenage’s second dgw12 match against Bolton Wanderers (H). Nonetheless, Piergianni is still selected by 3.4% of managers - if you feel confident he hauls in the second game he’s worth keeping, otherwise consider other options.
Newport County have been hit with a long-term blow. The Exiles defensive-midfielder Noah Mawene (M) is set to be sidelined for at least the next six weeks due to a hamstring injury. The 19-year-old midfielder, on loan from Preston North End, has proven to be a valuable asset to Newport County this season. In just seven appearances (three as a substitute), he has accumulated 20 Fantasy EFL points. However, his recent outing against Chesterfield was cut short due to his injury - he was substituted after only eight minutes of their 3-1 home defeat.
Transfer Watch
Leeds United have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of 34-year-old Joshua Guilavogui (M). The versatile Frenchman, who can operate both in midfield and defence, joins on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Guilavogui brings a wealth of experience to Elland Road, having played for top-flight clubs in France, Spain, and Germany. He has also represented the French national team on seven occasions. The signing comes as a timely boost for Leeds, who are currently dealing with injuries to key midfielders Ethan Ampadu (M) and Ilia Gruev (M).
Carlisle United has signed 23-year-old forward Tyler Burey (F) on a short-term contract. The striker, who left Millwall at the end of last season, will be hoping to make a positive impact for the Cumbrians under manager Mike Williamson. The 23-year-old has experience playing for multiple clubs, with most of his appearances coming for the Lions. He scored three goals in 58 games for the South London side. Burey will be looking to impress during his time at Carlisle and contribute to the team’s offence, which has scored only 12 goals this season.
