The March nominations for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month Award are:

Ashley Fletcher (Blackpool) - striker

Five goals in seven games for a striker who has benefitted from Steve Bruce’s man-management skills to find a level of comfort that is showing in his calm hold-up play as well as his composure in front of goal.

Macaulay Gillesphey (Charlton Athletic) – central defender

Gillesphey has stepped onto the front foot since the turn of the year, playing with increased aggression as demanded by manager Nathan Jones.

In March, he contributed to four clean sheets at the back and added two goals and an assist.

Jovon Makama (Lincoln City) – attacking midfielder

A beneficiary of Lincoln’s switch to a 4-2-3-1 system, Makama has been liberated by playing wider on the right, using his pace, putting balls into the box and finding space for the stellar figures of five goals and three assists in six games.

Arthur Okonkwo (Wrexham) - goalkeeper

Okonkwo’s athleticism came to the fore with a series of points-winning saves against fellow promotion contenders Bolton, Wycombe and Stockport, and a breathtaking stop against Rotherham for one of six clean sheets in seven games.
