Birmingham City have been confirmed as Sky Bet League One champions!

Wrexham's failure to beat Wigan Athletic on Saturday means that the Blues are out of reach and therefore officially confirmed as winners, despite not featuring in league action this weekend.

After confirming automatic promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship with a victory on Tuesday, the West Midlands-based outfit now have the chance to cap off a week of glory at Wembley in the Vertu Trophy Final.

They take on Peterborough United on Sunday, and the title party will have already started following Saturday's news.

With six games remaining, Birmingham currently have 95 points and are still on course for a division record tally.
