Abu Kamara’s 85th-minute equaliser earned Hull City a crucial point in their Sky Bet Championship survival bid, while Coventry City missed the chance to strengthen their Play-Off position despite a strong performance at the MKM Stadium.

Coventry took a deserved lead just after half-time when Matt Grimes’ long-range strike deflected off Charlie Hughes, wrong-footing goalkeeper Ivor Pandur. Kamara levelled in similarly fortunate fashion, his curling effort taking a deflection off Jay Dasilva to beat Bradley Collins at the near post.

Pandur was instrumental for Hull, making key saves—including three from Coventry top scorer Haji Wright in the first half.

Kasey Palmer also squandered two close-range chances for the hosts before the break.

Coventry nearly snatched a late winner, but Pandur denied Milan van Ewijk’s powerful stoppage-time effort.

The result leaves Hull three points clear of the relegation zone with four games remaining, while Coventry stay sixth, three points ahead of West Brom.
