Fantasy EFL: Who have the experts picked for their gameweek 34 squad?

Welcome back to a full gameweek of Fantasy EFL! After the international break, all 72 EFL clubs are back in action, and we're diving straight into another exciting Double Gameweek! This week, League One and League Two teams are playing twice, offering plenty of opportunities for points. The action kicks off on Thursday night at the Gaughan Group Stadium, where Leyton Orient host Stevenage in a League One clash

Our scouts have found the best potential picks for the upcoming gameweek, selecting players across all three divisions who could gain huge hauls for your Fantasy EFL team. As per usual, this team will focus on players who have two fixtures this gameweek.

The Starting Seven

Goalkeeper

Wrexham’s Arthur Okonkwo (G)  is our goalkeeper selection for DGW34. He has displayed elite consistency recently, recording clean sheets in five of his last six games. This has helped him to his massive 5.8 Fantasy points per game average. He plays Exeter City (A) and Cambridge United (A) this gameweek, two teams with poor offensive records.

Defenders

Crewe Alexandra’s Mickey Demetriou (D) is yet again the leading defender in our scout picks. He is coming off a double-digit haul in gameweek 33 and has demonstrated elite consistency all season, and was once the game's leading scorer! They face Port Vale (H) and Grimsby Town (H) this GW, providing two opportunities for clean sheets and defensive contributions.

Anthony O’Connor (D) is another elite defender selection for this gameweek, as he looks to add to his 264 total Fantasy points. He has double-digit hauls in two of his last three games and now faces Gillingham (H) and Tranmere Rovers (H), two teams struggling in front of goal.

Midfielders

Albie Morgan (M) has been in incredible form, earning his spot in our scout team. He's nailed 41 interceptions (+82), four goals (+20) and seven assists (+21). The Blackpool man holds a mere 1.1% selection rate, making him an exciting differential. He plays Bolton Wanderers (H) and Reading (H).

Kwame Poku (M) is back in action and is a perfect option for this gameweek. He has 16 goal contributions in just 20 appearances for Peterborough United, contributing to a 6.9 Fantasy point average. He plays Reading (A) and Crawley Town (A), the latter have conceded 71 goals in 38 games so far this season.

Forwards

Jay Stansfield (F) is our first forward selection - we expect him to bounce back from his recent slump, although we need to hear more about his fitness status from Chris Davies. Despite not scoring in the last four games, Stansfield has 16 goals (+80) and three assists (+9) in just 27 appearances, contributing to 144 total Fantasy points. He faces Shrewsbury Town (H) and Bristol Rovers (A), two weak defensive sides.

To round off our scout team, Richard Kone (F) is our final forward option. He managed a goal (+5) and assist (+3) in GW33, helping him to his 163 total points. He has 18 goals (+90), and is the most prolific striker in the EFL as it stands. He plays Lincoln City (H) and Shrewsbury Town (H) this gameweek, two strong opportunities for goals.

Club Picks

Birmingham City are our first club pick, as we expect them to win against both Shrewsbury Town and Bristol Rovers. The Blues are first in the division whilst their opponents both sit in the bottom five.

Wycombe Wanderers play Lincoln and Shrewsbury, again two teams who rank far below them. The Chairboys have been playing extremely well all season and are third in the division standings.

Combined, these teams could score 38 points if they both haul!
