Tyrese Campbell grabbed the headlines as Sheffield United brushed aside rivals Sheffield Wednesday to win the Steel City derby 0-3.

The Blades struck early, with Jairo Riedewald winning possession high up the pitch before Callum O'Hare found Campbell who slotted home.

Wednesday struggled to threaten the visitors goal all afternoon and shortly after the break Campbell completed his brace.

Sydie Peck intercepted on the halfway line with the ball running into the path of the 25-year-old who drove the ball low into the back of the net.

The Owls worked hard but rarely looked capable of mounting a comeback, and their hopes were ended when substitute Tom Cannon fired in a 20-yard effort in stoppage time that took a slight deflection on its way in.

It made sure of victory, just the fourth this season for the Blades who remain in the relegation zone, one point from safety.

Meanwhile, Wednesday stay rooted to the bottom on -4 points.
