Jack Wilshere picked up his second win as Luton Town boss as the Hatters confirmed their spot in the Vertu Trophy knockout stages with a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion U21.

The Hatters went into the break two goals ahead courtesy of a Jerry Yates brace before a moment of Club history saw Fin Evans became Luton's youngest ever senior goalscorer at 16 years and 271 days with an unstoppable finish at the back post with just over ten minutes remaining.

Rotherham United also booked their place in the Round of 32 as four second-half goals from the Millers saw the South Yorkshire side come from 2-0 down to defeat Manchester City U21 4-2 at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

West Ham United U21 became the first Premier League U21 to qualify for the next stage of this season's competition as a 3-2 victory away at Swindon Town confirmed their progression with six points from their three fixtures.
