After winning the reverse fixture 2-1 in August last year, AFC Wimbledon will be looking to complete a league double over Reading at the first time of asking. The last side they beat in each of their first two league meetings was Colchester United in 2022-23.
Reading have lost five of their last six away games against sides from London (D1), scoring just three goals in total during that time. The Royals last won an away match vs London opposition in the third tier when they beat Brentford 2-1 in February 2001.
AFC Wimbledon have failed to win any of their last eight home league games (D3 L5), also failing to score in their last five. It’s already the Dons’ longest home run without a goal in Football League history.
Reading have lost just one of their last nine league games (W5 D3), though that sole defeat did come on the road, losing 3-1 at Leyton Orient in January. The Royals will be looking to win successive away games in League One for the first time this season, however.
