Port Vale’s FA Cup heroics were forgotten as they fell to a 2-0 home defeat against promotion‑chasing Bradford City.

The visitors dominated from the outset, with Joe Gauci forced into a series of saves before Bradford made the breakthrough after 31 minutes, Bobby Pointon reacting quickest to finish after the goalkeeper parried Tyreik Wright’s effort.

Gauci again denied Ethan Wheatley early in the second half, but Bradford sealed the win in the66th minute when Wright blasted home from 20 yards.
Vale remain bottom of the table, while Bradford’s promotion push gathers pace.

Dons Boost Play‑Off Hopes

AFC Wimbledon kept their play‑off ambitions alive with a 4-1 win over relegation‑threatened Blackpool.

Ryan Johnson headed the Dons in front early on before Matty Stevens doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after the break.

Blackpool briefly reduced the deficit through Niall Ennis, but Wimbledon finished strongly late on.
Zack Nelson rolled home a third in stoppage time, before Omar Bugiel added a fourth moments later to wrap up a convincing victory.
