Under his leadership, County continued their upward trajectory in League One, establishing themselves among the division's leading sides and further enhancing Challinor's reputation as one of the EFL's most consistent performers in the dugout.

Challinor also guided the Hatters to Wembley a further two times, in the EFL Trophy and the Sky Bet League One Play-Offs. His consistent success at Stockport followed previous promotion-winning spells with AFC Fylde and Hartlepool United, underlining a proven ability to build teams capable of competing at the top end of their respective divisions.

The Owls supporters will be hoping the qualities that delivered success so consistently at Edgeley Park can help drive the Club to promotion, as one of the EFL's most accomplished promotion specialists begins life at Hillsborough.
