Over the past year, Alex’s has played a key role in refining the sound and structure of each podcast episode, with his ability to transform raw recordings into polished, engaging content making a lasting impression.
His journey into media began through the Esports Level 3 programme, where he was introduced to editing software such as CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro. He quickly progressed to mastering techniques around noise reduction, multi-track editing and sound mixing, consistently maintaining high production standards.
Beyond the technical skills, Alex also developed a strong sense of storytelling, learning how pacing, music and editing choices can shape the listener’s experience. He even hosted an episode of the podcast himself, gaining both valuable on-camera experience and confidence.

His role also strengthened his project management abilities. By coordinating with team members and meeting production deadlines, Alex has learned to balance creativity with time management – essential skills for anyone wishing to pursue a career in media.

Alex’s story is a powerful example of how practical, hands-on experiences - combined with passion and hard work - can unlock new career opportunities in the fast-evolving world of media.

“Before joining the course, I only knew about the teams and players in Esports. Within a few months, I learned so much more about events, teams and career opportunities. I came to college wanting to be a game designer, but video editing really stood out to me. The trips, seeing Esports teams and hearing their stories have been amazing experiences. Editing long podcasts was challenging but rewarding and it’s prepared me for university.”
