The Sky Bet League One September Player of the Month nominees are:

Jaze Kabia (Leyton Orient) -striker

Kabia scored four of Orient’s nine goals in September, but it wasn’t just his instinctive finishing that impressed, notably with a fine solo goal at Luton.

The striker is in constant motion, chasing apparent lost causes and running the legs off defenders.

Dan Kemp (Stevenage) – midfielder

Kemp is the midfield link man that his Stevenage teammates look for to turn defence into attack.

He was at his irresistible best in September with a super strike on the run against Luton headlining his three goals and an assist in four games.

Jack Marriott (Reading) – striker

Marriott’s uncanny ability to sense a scoring opportunity and move into the right place remains as razor-sharp as ever.

His five goals in five games were scored at a rate of one every 72 minutes and included two braces and three headers.

Jayden Stockley (AFC Wimbledon) – striker

Of Wimbledon’s five goals in the month, Stockley scored three and assisted one.

Dominant in aerial duels, he converted a superbly timed header at Burton and added deft chest control and a volley at Cambridge to complement his hold-up play.
