Barnet returned to winning ways on Tuesday evening with an impressive 3-1 win over York City.

Having fallen behind courtesy of Arthur Read's beautiful curled effort, Barnet responded almost immediately, with talisman Kabongo Tshimanga netting his seventh goal in his last six games.

In a back-and-forth encounter, both sides had their goalkeepers to thank for some remarkable stops. The turning point came just after the 50th minute, with York's Hiram Boateng shown a second yellow card, reducing the visitors to ten men.

Barnet made their numerical advantage count just ten minutes from time, Jake Reeves striking a rocket from outside the box to nudge the Bees in front.

The three points were secured just a few minutes later, with Alfie McNally conceding an unfortunate own goal after Damola Ajayi's stunning jinking run in the box.

The win means Barnet close the gap to Salford City at the top of Sky Bet League Two table, with the Bees now three points back with a game in hand.
