The team at WhoScored.com have put together a team of the highest-rated EFL performers following this weekend's action in Sky Bet League One and League Two, and below they've rounded up their top five.

Aden Flint (Rochdale) – 8.80

Aden Flint marked his third league appearance for Rochdale with his first goal for the club as they claimed a 2-1 victory away at Fleetwood Town.

The 37-year-old defender rose to the occasion at both ends of the pitch, finding himself unmarked after a partially cleared corner before calmly slotting into the bottom-left corner to put Rochdale 2-0 up after 14 minutes.

Fleetwood pulled one back before half-time, and Rochdale were reduced to 10 men in the second half, but Flint helped his side withstand the late pressure.

He made the most defensive contributions in the match and won five of his six duels, including getting his head to a goalbound effort from Ronan Coughlan as Rochdale held on.

Ollie Pearce (York City) – 8.80

Ollie Pearce was directly involved in two goals as York City swept aside Gillingham 3-0 at the LNER Community Stadium.

The winger needed just two minutes to make his mark, producing an inswinging cross from the left that Joe Grey converted at the far post for the opener.

Pearce then got on the scoresheet himself late in the match. After Harry Boyes' 25-yard effort was only half dealt with, Pearce got a decisive touch to divert the ball past Oliver Wright and make it 3-0.

The York forward finished with four shots, two on target and seven touches in the opposition box, while also drawing three fouls.

Jed Ward (Walsall) – 8.77

Walsall extended their unbeaten start to the League Two season to eight matches, but they had to withstand plenty of attacks from Tranmere Rovers to do so.

Jed Ward was the difference between a point and a defeat at Prenton Park, making nine saves from 10 shots on target, while also saving a first-half penalty from Joe Ironside.

The Walsall goalkeeper produced several impressive stops before Tranmere finally found a way past him in the 73rd minute.

Reece Smith's 91st-minute equaliser ultimately secured a 1-1 draw, with Ward's display providing the platform for Walsall to take something from the game.

Luke Molyneux (Salford City) – 8.42

Luke Molyneux was crucial in Salford's 4-1 derby victory over Oldham Athletic, scoring once and assisting another.

The winger opened the scoring after just five minutes, although his intention was seemingly to deliver a cross, with his ball from the right curling beyond everyone and into the far corner.

Molyneux continued to cause problems and was rewarded with an assist for Salford's third goal, beating Oldham's left-back before crossing for Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu to finish.

He also created three chances, the joint-most in the match, while registering two shots and four crosses.

Moses Sesay (Colchester United) – 8.39

Moses Sesay rescued a point for Colchester United with a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser in their 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury Town.

The forward opened the scoring in the 19th minute after weaving past two defenders before finding the net, but Shrewsbury turned the game around to lead late on.

Sesay was not finished, though. With four minutes of added time played, he converted Oscar Thorn's pass to score his second of the afternoon and snatch a point for Colchester.

The brace takes Sesay's tally to three goals and one assist in seven League Two appearances since joining the club on loan in August.
